Last year, Amazon released the first season of its hit new series The Boys, an adaptation of Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic book series of the same name. The show was met with a strong response from both fans and critics, and has since become one of the most watched Amazon Original shows. If you enjoyed the first season of this very adult take on the superhero genre, then you’ll be excited to learn that Amazon has released the first trailer for the series’ second season.
The Boys are now on the run, and they’ve got some seriously irate superheroes after them. If you thought the first season was explosive, then it looks like this one aims to end on an even bigger bang.
As the trailer’s description reads: “In a more intense, more desperate Season 2 of THE BOYS, Butcher, Hughie and the team reel from their losses in Season 1. On the run from the law, they struggle to fight back against the Superheroes. As Vought, the company that manages the heroes, cashes in on the panic over the threat of Supervillains, and a new hero, Stormfront, shakes up the company and challenges an already unstable Homelander.”
If you can’t wait to hang out with the boys again, then worry not. The second season releases later this year on 4th September, exclusively on Amazon Prime.
