Check out the Latest Trailer for HBO’s Fahrenheit 451

It was announced last year that HBO is working on a TV film adaptation of Ray Bradbury’s dystopian classic Fahrenheit 451. Actors Michael Shannon (Boardwalk Empire, The Shape of Water) and Michael B. Jordan (Black Panther, The Wire) have been cast in the film and now a new trailer has been revealed along with a release date of May 19.

Fahrenheit 451 is set in a future dystopia where books are gathered and burned by ‘firemen’ in an effort to destroy knowledge. The story follows a loyal fireman named Guy Montag who begins to experience a crisis of conscience when he starts to wonder if what he’s doing is right. The HBO adaptation is being directed by Ramin Bahrani who is best known for his 2007 film Chop Chop.

This new adaptation looks utterly explosive, no pun intended, and we look forward to seeing if it manages to live up to the quality of the original novel.
