Man Tweets his FIRST ever viewing of the Harry Potter movies

As much as it may amaze you some people have yet to watch the movie adaptation of the Harry Potter series. (I know!) One of those folk is Chef Swasty on Twitter. Chef describes himself as “Conqueror of Greenland, heister of couches, bane of shitty-neighbors, YouTube chef, uneducated in movies” in his Twitter bio. His lack of magic was never on purpose- sometimes movies or fads can pass us by- but he certainly made up lost time by binge watching every single HP movie over the course of a few days. Live tweeting as he watched, his reactions during the emotional rollercoaster are just brilliant. The live Twitter thread is immense- as one can imagine- but the full thread can be found on Imgur.

For now, here are Chef Swasty’s hilarious reactions to the first two movies…

Reading Chef Swasty’s #HarryPotterLiveTweets is an emotionally rollercoaster so take a little break before heading over to Imgur to continue through his hilarious thread.

George R.R. Martin Hopes to Have ‘The Winds of Winter’ Finished by 2020

By | Adaptations, News | No Comments
HBO’s TV series Game of Thrones may have come to an end, but the fantasy series it’s based on, George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire, is still to be finished. Fans are now looking to George for news on a possible release date for the long awaited sequel The Winds of Winter, and it seems George has provided us with some hope, sort of. In an amusing post on his Not a Blog, Martin responded to a video made by Air New Zealand which invited George to come to New Zealand on their dime and get some much needed peace, quiet, and inspiration, to help him finish the upcoming book.

Watch the latest trailer for His Dark Materials here!

By | Adaptations, News, Video | No Comments
His Dark Materials will be hitting the small screen thanks to HBO and the BBC.

We saw the teaser trailer in March and it didn’t give much away, however this latest trailer is VERY exciting. In it we get to see and hear the characters many of us fell in love with from Pullman’s books including the main protagonist Lyra Belacqua who is played by Dafne Keen and the wonderful James McAvoy who will play Lord Asriel. Lin-Manuel Miranda (Mary Poppins) is set to play the Texan aeronaut Lee Scoresby, while James Cosmo and Lucian Msamati play as Farder Coram and John Faa respectively.

Any fan of the book series will be pleased to see far more detail from the book included in the television series, as opposed to the movie The Golden Compass, which left out chunks of the story and never managed to make enough at the box office to carry on the movie franchise.

8 intense episodes will run over 2 seasons, and a date has yet to be announced for its release. We do know, however, that it will premiere in the USA by the end of 2019.

We will let you know more details as we have them- meanwhile check out the trailer below!
