Magischola to offer 4-day Hogwarts type experience

By November 10, 2015November 23rd, 2015Children's Literature

It’s not Hogwarts but Magischola looks amazing!

If you’re still sitting there twiddling your thumbs awaiting your letter from Hogwarts, then an event next June from Magischola may just be the answer you’re looking for!

Granted it’s not a seven year wizarding education, it’s four days in North America, in June 2016 but it is wizard school!

The organisers are keen to point out that while there are some (lots of) similarities between Hogwarts and Magischola, they aren’t actually connected! That said, you will get to study a branch of magic, you’ll also be sorted into a house and you’ll get to wear all that wizardy garb and stuff!

A recent event held in a castle in rural Poland was a huge success. The event was organised by live action role playing groups Liveform and Rollespilsfabrikken and the popularity of the event means they are planning the next one for next year!

The location is to be announced but it will be held somewhere with a ‘castle like feel’. Once there participants can play students or professors, will be sorted into one of five houses, each with their own attributes, traditions and finders and will get to choose from one of five branches of magic to study. The four day event sounds like more fun than the wizarding world cup and whether you’d like to specialise in Artificiety, Cursebreaking, Cryptozoology, Healing, orthe Path of the Marshall, you’re almost guaranteed a magical four day experience!

According to the company’s event page tickets will be available in mid-November but as there’s a maximum number of 160 players in a single event, you’re going to want to be on it like a snitch if you want to grab a ticket! While you’ll have to sort your tickets and transfers, the experience itself is all inclusive and the price quoted is $375.

The organisers are promising a magical world with encounters with magical creatures, villains and perhaps even a traitor in the midst!
