HARD – MONTHLY CATEGORY CHALLENGE
Listen to an audiobook – here are just a few suggestions from Cwts Club Discussion Group:
The Harry Potter Series – J.K. Rowling
These well-loved stories were mentioned several times not least because they are narrated by Stephen Fry, who has the most wonderful reading voice.
Alan Cumming – Not My Father’s Son
A beloved star of stage and screen, Alan Cumming’s life and career have been shaped by a complex and dark family past – full of troubled memories, kept buried away. But then an unexpected phone call from his long-estranged father brought the pain of the past hurtling back into the present, and unravelled everything he thought he knew about himself.
Watership Down – Richard Adams
This classic children’s story is narrated by Peter Capaldi, another voice that will be recognised by many and makes this wonderful book even more enjoyable.
Other suggestions include Becoming by Michele Obama, Bernard Cornwell’s Saxon Tales, The Gown by Jennifer Robson, Sally Field’s In Pieces and Robert B. Parker books read by Joe Mantegna.
