Lego Announces New Harry Potter Sets, Take a Sneak Peek!

With the release of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them in 2016, and the upcoming release of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, it’s safe to say that the magic of Harry Potter has returned to our normal muggle lives. If you’re a big Harry Potter fan, and you enjoy constructing LEGO kits, then you’ll be pleased to learn that LEGO has announced a new range of Harry Potter-themed LEGO sets are set to be released this Summer.

New sets based on both the Harry Potter and the Fantastic Beasts films will launch on August 1st, and LEGO has given us a sneak peek at the biggest set available, the Great Hall. As one of the most iconic locations in Hogwarts, the Great Hall is where new students gather to be sorted into their houses and it also hosts great feasts and parties.

The 878-piece set includes four levels and comes with a number of accessories such as benches, tables, the Sorting Hat, brooms, wands, cauldrons, floating candles, the trophy cup, food, and reversible house banners. It features a treasure and potions room and a tower with a spiral staircase that leads to the Mirror of Erised, complete with changeable pictures!

Attendees at the New York Toy Fair got to see the set in person but, for the rest of us, LEGO has released some pictures that show it off nicely. If you want to create your own adventures then you’ll be pleased to know the set comes with 10 mini-figures, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Draco, Professor McGonagall, Hagrid with his umbrella, Dumbledore, Susan Bones, Nearly Headless Nick, and Professor Quirrel, who features a dual Lord Voldemort face you can spin around. You also get Hedwig and Scabbers the rat, as well as a build-able Basilisk and Fawkes the phoenix, who has his own perch.
