Gringotts Wizarding Bank Coming to Harry Potter Studios

If you haven’t visited the Warner Bros Studio Tour, London then it’s well worth a visit and it’s about to become even more appealing with the addition of Gringotts Wizarding Bank at the studios.

Previous visitors to the Studios will know that the frontage to the bank has always been on the studios version of Diagon Alley but now for the first time ever, visitors will be able to enter the set of Gringotts Wizarding Bank as the studio reveals its biggest expansion to date.

Gringotts plays a vital part in the Harry Potter series from the very first book where Harry enters the bank, to the famous escape on the Ukrainian Ironbelly in the trios quest for the Horcruxes in the seventh book.

The bank will be unveiled on 6th April and visited to the Warner Bros Studio Tour will be able to walk through the wizarding bank, just like Harry did, enter the Lestrange vault and view the gallery of goblins and so much more.

The prop-making department on the movies created over 210,000 coins for the final two films, and that’s a lot of Galleons, Sickles and Knuts and visitors will be able to see these as they walk through the imposing marble corridors lined with costumes and prosthetics belonging to Bogrod, Griphook and other goblin banktellers.

Once in the bank visitors will be able to enter the depths of the Lestrange vault, which has hopefully has the geminio and flagrante charms removed from the treasure within or we could all end up burned with one of the 38,000 pieces of treasure the prop-department created for the movie.

While it may be tempting to take a little souvenir of your visit, ensure you buy this from the gift shop because

“If you seek beneath our floors
A treasure that was never yours,
Thief, you have been warned, beware.
Of finding more than treasure there.”

Access to the expansion is included in the ticket price and tickets to the attraction can be prebooked at wbstudiotour.co.uk
