Adam Kay Announces New Book – Dear NHS: 100 Letters to Say Thank You

Former NHS Doctor and author of the hilarious and heart-breaking book, This Is Going to Hurt, has announced a new book entitled Dear NHS: 100 Letters to Say Thank You. The book is, as the title suggests, a collection of thank you letters and writing to the heroes on the frontline of the UK’s National Health Service, who during this current pandemic are selfless putting others before themselves even more than ever.

“In Dear NHS, 100 inspirational people come together to share their stories of how the national health service has been there for them, and changed their lives in the process. By turns deeply moving, hilarious, hopeful and impassioned, these stories together become a love letter to the NHS and the 1.4 million people who go above and beyond the call of duty every single day – selflessly, generously, putting others before themselves, never more so than now.”

Dear NHS is edited and curated by Adam Kay and will include contributions from a variety of different celebrities, writers and influential people. The book will feature writing from household literary names including; Stephen Fry, Jilly Cooper, Kate Atkinson, Dolly Alderton, Monica Ali, Kate Atkinson, William Boyd, Nick Hornby, Jackie Kay, Anne Fine, Matt Haig, Mark Haddon, Victoria Hislop, David Nicholls, Dame Jacqueline Wilson, Kit de Waal, Caitlin Moran, Jojo Moyes, Bill Bryson, Alexander McCall Smith, Candice Carty-Williams, Martina Cole, Marian Keyes, Lee Child, Juno Dawson, Reni Eddo-Lodge, Kate Mosse, Irvine Welsh, E.L. James and Kate Tempest.

Other writing will also feature from; David Baddiel, Zoe Ball, Dame Mary Beard, Rob Brydon, Kathy Burke, Peter Capaldi, Bridget Christie, Emilia Clarke, Daisy May Cooper, Fearne Cotton, Greg James, Dawn French, Jameela Jamil, Konnie Huq, Mark Gatiss, Peter Kay, Lorraine Kelly, Shappi Khorsandi, Nish Kumar, Joanna Lumley, Sandi Toksvig, Chris O’Dowd, Louis Theroux, Sir Tervor McDonald, Robert Webb, Dame Emma Thompson, Stanley Tucci, Sue Perkins, Graham Norton, Maxine Peake, Josh Widdicome, Jack Whitehall, Katie Piper, and many more.
