Later this year comes a long-awaited Artemis Fowl spin off series from author Eoin Colfer. The book will be published via Disney-Hyperion in the US and HarperCollins in the UK and the first book in what is so far set to be a two book series is called The Fowl Twins.
The new novels will feature Artemis’ younger brothers, Myles and Becket who after being left alone for a night end up having to save a troll from a nefarious nobleman, and an interrogating nun who both need the creature for their own gain.
Colfer said of the new books “I am delighted to be back in the world of fairies, magic, and criminal masterminds, and I could not be more pleased that Disney and HarperCollins, two wonderful publishers with whom I share a long and fruitful history, are going to unleash the Fowl twins on the world. I cannot wait for a whole new generation of readers to immerse themselves in the magical adventures of Myles and Beckett.”
The Fowl Twins will be released in hardcover on November 5th, 2019 and is available to pre-order now. In conjunction with the release, in the US Disney-Hyperion are releasing new editions of the second series of Artemis Fowl with new covers and these are already available.
The original Artemis Fowl books were incredibly popular and have sold 25 million copies around the world, and spawned a film starring Kenneth Branagh, which is due for release on 9th August this year.
