The SS Officer’s Armchair to Publish next Autumn

A new Nazi memoir story is to hit the shelves after 70 year old documents were found in an armchair. Jonathon Cape has signed the deal to publish a historical detective story, authored by historian Daniel Lee that will combine a historical detection with these biographical papers.

The SS Officer’s Armchair is expected in the Autumn of 2018 after world publishers snapped up the rights to the deal. The papers trace the life of an unknown Nazi officer and were found in the cushion of an armchair recently in Amsterdam. The discovery of the documents send historian David Lee on a trail to track down the stories behind the papers and has developed a unique insight of the occupation and holocaust from the view of an SS Officer.

The story looks like it’s going to be an astonishing addition to the history of the time, with a brand new perspective, a quiet voice whispering for years from an armchair. It really brings to light just how many secret voices might still be out there, recordings of this time in history that could or could not ever come to light in the future.

The SS Officer’s Armchair is likely to be available to pre-purchase beforehand, but with release not expected until next Autumn, it’s another year until those interested in this time in history will get to read this new account. What is for sure, it’s likely to be a bestseller, offering important historical perspective, weaving fantastic storytelling with a real biographical account from this period of history.
