By January 22, 2019New Releases

In exciting news for bakers and lovers of The Great British Bake Off, another contestant has announced the imminent publication of a cookbook. The contestant in question is Benjamina Ebuehi, who was a quarter-finalist in the 7th series of the hit tv cooking show, The Great British Bake Off at the age of just 23-years-old.

On 16th January, Benjamina took to Twitter to announce her exciting news, she wrote, “Beyond proud to be writing my first cookbook which will be published this Autumn! It’s all about one of my favourite things – cakes! Bringing you modern & creative flavours with tips on how to style them too! Can’t wait for you all to see it!”

Benjamina’s book, Modern Cakes for the Home Baker, will be published by Page Street Publishing in Autumn this year. The book draws on her Nigerian Heritage and her life in London to present recipes that are full of the unique flavours and professional decoration that Bake Off fans will remember her for.

Bejamina told her literary agent, Northbank Talent Management, “I wanted to create a baking book that really celebrated flavours, bringing simple yet elevated cakes to the home baker. With chapters ranging from Citrus to Floral there are new cakes to be discovered for every occasion, with tips on how to decorate and style in a fresh and modern way.”

Known for their supportive attitude during the TV baking competition, it is no surprise that many of the contestants from series 7 stayed in touch. Upon the announcement of her cookbook, Benjamina was soon congratulated by many of her fellow competitors. Fellow finalist, Jane Beedle wrote, “Congratulations Benji. Can’t wait to see it.” While, Candice Brown Comfort: Delicious Bakes and Family Treats, the winner of the 7th Season of GBBO, tweeted, “Congratulations benji!!!! It is going to be outstanding I know it xxx”
