The Ladybird Book of Climate Change

With the resurgence in popularity Ladybird books are the place to be at the moment if you want to be seen in the literary world without resorting to writing an epic tome that just so happens to be literary genius and destined to become the next Harry Potter style phenomenon.

It comes as no surprise then that the United Kingdom’s King in waiting Prince Charles is the latest to jump on the Ladybird popularity bandwagon.

Written in the style of the original Ladybird books this 52-page offering focuses on climate change which as we know is of particular interest to the green fingered Prince and is to be part of a series of Ladybird Expert books which aims to explain complicated subject clearly and as simply as possible.

Co-authored with former Friends of the Earth director Tony Juniper and climate scientist Emily Shuckburgh the Ladybird Book of Climate Change explains the history, dangers and challenges of global warming and explores possible solutions with which to reduce its impact and is aimed at an adult audience.

“You’ll learn about the causes and consequences of climate disruption; heatwaves, floods and other extreme weather; disappearing wildlife; acid oceans; the benefits of limiting warming; sustainable farming, new clean technologies and the circular economy.”

Part of a three book series The Ladybird Book of Climate Change is due to be released on the 26th January and will be followed by The Ladybird Book of Quantum Mechanics by Jim Al-Khalili, and The Ladybird Book of Evolution by Steve Jones.
