The Duchess of Sussex Supports Grenfell Cookbook

By September 17, 2018New Releases

Meghan, the new Duchess of Sussex has been making secret trips to the Hubb kitchen, a community mosque where residents got together to cook for victims of the tragedy, particularly those who were left in hotels without cooking facilities.

The group were getting together twice a week to cook family meals, bringing the community together and after a suggestion from the Duchess will now be releasing a cookbook for charity.

The Hubb Community Kitchen is an initiative based near the site of the West London Tower set up at the Al Manaar cultural centre. Meghan is said to have felt ‘immediately connected’ to the kitchen and helped with the cooking on what has been her first solo outing for the Royal Family and is now supporting the release of Our Community Cookbook, out later this month.

The book features fifty delicious recipes from the women at the centre, a collection of simple dishes passed down through generations and a portion of all sales from the book will go towards the Hubb Community Kitchen to help further strengthen communities through cooking.

Together: Our Community Cookbook will be released in hardcover on September 25th, is fully endorsed by the Duchess of Cambridge, who has written a foreword in the book, and is available on pre-order now.
