Former president Bill Clinton has teamed up with author James Patterson to write another novel, two years after they wrote The President is Missing.
The President’s Daughter was announced on Thursday and follows the kidnapping of the daughter a former U.S. president living in rural New Hampshire.
Patterson and Clinton’s first book, The President Is Missing, was released in 2018 and was one of the year’s biggest publishing successes, eventually selling over 3 million copies.
The President’s Daughter is not a sequel to their previous work but stands alone as a novel featuring a new cast of characters.

Bill Clinton gave a statement in the announcement on Thursday: “I never imagined I’d be writing a book with a master storyteller like Jim, much less two. I believe readers will enjoy reading ‘The President’s Daughter’ as much as I’m enjoying working on it.”
Mr. Patterson has called working with the former president “a highlight of my career” noting that readers “won’t be disappointed” by the novel.
