John Boyne Hosts Online Literary Q&A for Children

By March 18, 2020Authors, News

During the current coronavirus pandemic, people in countries all over the world are being asked to social distance and stay home where possible. Which for many parents of young children means finding activities to keep them occupied that don’t involve going out.

Irish author, John Boyne is offering a small solution for parents with book-loving children. Boyne, who is best known for writing The Boy in the Stripped Pyjamas, announced that he will be hosting chats where children can ask him about questions about books.

The chats are a free 1-hour slot between 11 am and 12 pm Irish time, where children can write in questions for the author to answer. There will be no video permitted, presumably to protect children online and ensure their safety.

Parents simply need to join the room here between 11 am and 12 pm for their children to be able to take part. The first slot was held on Tuesday 17th March but he will be repeating the chat on Thursday 19th March at the same time. So, if you’re looking for something for your little bookworm to do for an hour, why not get them asking questions about books?
