Meghan Markle’s sister is set to release her own book exposing aspects of life as the Duchess’s sister.
Ms Markle’s upcoming release, The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister Part 1, will be available in the US from next Friday. British readers may not have the chance to read it due to legal restraints in the UK.
The decision to write a memoir unfortunately attracted less-than-happy comments from fans of the British royal family, and some “threats and harassment” from the public. Samantha Markle claimed some people are trying to stop her from publishing a book about the Duchess of Sussex altogether. According to sources close to her, the Markle sister had to move twice to escape any threats.
The book promises to reveal “hidden truths about her family, as a royal fairy plummets from the tea towels”. The highly-anticipated memoir also attempts to claim “things are not always as they seem” and “truth is stranger than fiction”.
The Duchess had reportedly been “in tears” when she first found out that her sister had written the gossiping book.
One source told journalists: “The book may never be on sale in Britain because of our tighter libel laws but it will be all over the internet.”
Meghan had also allegedly admitted to friends that she had to stop reading interviews made by her family after she found out about her sister’s book.
A friend of the Duchess’ said: “She stopped reading things after finding out about her sister’s book. She cried when she found out about it. She and Samantha never had a very good relationship and she feels her sister is using her position for profit.”
