By December 19, 2019Adaptations, News

Neil Gaiman’s Norse Mythology, a re-telling of the stories of Norse Gods, was first published in 2017. The brilliantly lively and humorous tales, reimagined by Neil Gaiman, took the reader on an exploration of Asgard with Odin, Thor, Loki, Freya, and many other intriguing characters from the creation of the Nine Worlds and the epic origins of Gods all the way to Ragnarök, the end of the world.

In the new year, Gaiman’s Norse Mythology novel is getting an exciting new release in comic book form, adapted for Dark Horse Comics by Neil Gaiman himself, alongside P. Craig Russell, who has worked on many graphic novels and comics with Gaiman before including; American Gods, Coraline, and The Sandman.

The first comic book edition of Neil Gaiman’s Norse Mythology will feature artwork from a fantastic collection of award-winning artists including; Mike Mignola, P. Craig Russell, and Jerry Ordway. The colourists for the first comic issue will be Dave Stewart and Lovern Kindzierski, while the letterer will be Galen Showman.

There will be 18 issues of the Norse Mythology comics books which will feature covers by P. Craig Russell, variant covers by David Mack and colours by Lovern Kindzierski. Inside the comics will feature a mix of major interior artists, who will be announced by Dark Horse Comics at a later date.

The first issue of Neil Gaiman and P. Craig Russell’s comic book adaptations of Norse Mythology goes on sale 27th May 2020, with the subsequent issues following its release later.
