Visit ‘Mandrakes’ – a Harry Potter themed cafe in the UK

Mandrakes opened on the 6th of August 2019 in Omskirk, UK, welcoming all muggles, witches, and wizards to their magical cafe.

The owners of the cafe told local news teams: “Mandrakes was born from 2 friends who had a vision and dream to bring something special to Ormskirk, we love our little market town and felt it deserved a little bit of magic. We have been overwhelmed by the response from visitors near and far.”

The cafe has been created with the local community in mind: reaching out to families and schools, local food producers, and even ensuring the cafe is dog friendly. Families or friends can book the space for Harry Potter themed parties, and are planning on offering workshops for autistic children.

A post on the cafe’s Facebook page stated: “One thing we are really excited about is holding Harry Potter themed parties! Whether it’s a children’s birthday, a Hen do for a Potter-mad bride, or a baby shower for the next great wizard – we can create a magical event that will leave lasting memories forever.”

Local HPST reading groups meet all over the world to gather and treat Harry Potter as sacred together. These groups are open to all and demonstrate that sacred reading fosters community, and community deepens sacred reading. We love and support all of our local groups and encourage you to join (or start) a group near you! Make sure to get in touch with groups to get the most up to date details on their upcoming meetings.
