James & The Giant Peach is being read online by a host of celebrities on YouTube.
This follows an announcement earlier this year from Netflix of their new Roald Dahl series of adaptions, recently scuppered by the COVID19 pandemic.
Taika Waititi (Jojo Rabbit) is still set to write, direct, and produce two new animated series’ for Netflix, both of which will be based on the works of Roald Dahl.
The first Netflix adaptation will be inspired by the amazing world and characters of the 1964 classic children’s book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but while we wait, stuck in lockdown, Waititi has gathered some famous friends and recorded another reading for YouTube. The first episode will be read by Waititi with Chris and Liam Hemsworth, and Nick Kroll.
Waititi is joined by other celebrity friends to read James & The Giant Peach in full across 10 episodes beginning with chapters 1-4 in this first instalment.
