Wizards Unite AR Game Coming from Niantic (and it’s really not a hoax)

By November 9, 2017Inspired by Literature, News

When Pokemon Go launched in the summer of 2016 it was instantly the most popular games ever available for download and it’s gone on to become the biggest grossing game of all time. Pretty soon people were discussing the idea for other versions and an unconfirmed rumour about a Harry Potter Go version went viral.

That story turned out to be a hoax, but this time we have it straight from the horses mouth as Pokemon creators, Niantic announce that Wizards Unite is coming and it’s going to turn your neighbourhood into a giant game board.

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite doesn’t yet have a launch date, but when launched will give you the chance to become a real life wizard, gaining the experience of J. K Rowling’s Wizarding World. If you’ve spent your life lamenting the lack of your letter to Hogwarts then you won’t be disappointed.

Niantic is partnering with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and WB Games San Francisco’s development team to bring this magical and beloved story to life!

So that’s it, it’s actual real, no hoax at all! There’s no release date yet for Wizard’s Unite and reading the information given by Niantic it looks like the development is very much in progress! We’ll bring you more news here as we have it.
