We started at 1918, bringing you the bestselling books of the last one hundred years. We’re moving along now and today we have reached a significant milestone! This blog series has taken almost eighteen months to get here but we’ve hit the year 2000!
2000 was the turn of the decade, century, and millennium! In London the Tate Modern opened. The Summer Olympics took place in Sydney, Australia, and divers found the ancient Port of Alexandria.
So here they are, the ten top selling books of 2000. We’re also featuring some well known books that didn’t make the cut!
2000 also saw the release of the mindbending, House of Leaves, from Mark Danielewski, and Zadie Smith’s, White Teeth both of which have stood the test of time much better than the top ten of this year.
