We started at 1918, bringing you the bestselling books of the last one hundred years. We’re moving along now and we’re starting to get close to what will be the end of this blog series as today we feature 2006.

In 2006, Google purchased YouTube for $1.65 billion. Saddam Hussein was tried and sentenced to death. On the last day of the Hajj, in Mina, Saudi Arabia a stampede caused the death of 362 Muslim pilgrims.
