As a huge lover of YA and Paranormal Romance literature I was really excited when this poll question was posted on our Social Media walls and looked forward to seeing your suggestions.
It was a quieter response than normal but hey, it’s quality not quantity that’s important isn’t it and you most certainly provided on that front. Here are your top 20 Paranormal Romance choices.
The Twilight Saga – Stephanie Meyer
This series has received its fair share of criticism but it is what it is, a truly paranormal romance. It may not be a classic but it is very popular and it got a lot of people reading, and I still love it.
The Infernal Devices – Cassandra Clare
The prequel to Cassandra Clare’s hugely popular Mortal Instruments Trilogy is your second placed Paranormal Romance.
Dark Hunter Series – Sherrilyn Kenyon

The Mercy Thompson Series– Patricia Briggs
Mercy is the perfect mix of kick ass tough cookie and damsel in distress oh and a shapeshifter too; Adam is her beau, a werewolf and pack leader. Well written and addictive, you will devour these novels at speed.
Mortal Instruments – Cassandra Clare
The sequel to the prequel, Cassandra Clare’s Mortal Instruments trilogy has everything you could ever desire from a Paranormal Romance.
Black Dagger Brotherhood – J.R. Ward
Warrior vampires and a disaffected but privileged woman; you just know this is going to be good.
Dark Elements – Jennifer L. Armentrout
A young adult series in which a half demon, half gargoyle teenage girl risks the wrath of her adoptive clan and the trust of a boy she’s loved forever by partnering up with a sexy, dangerous demon who claims he can protect her from dark elements in a usually quiet demon population.
Anita Blake – Laurell K. Hamilton
These books pop up in so many of our polls. The series takes place in a parallel world in which supernatural characters like vampires and werewolves exist alongside regular humans and Anita’s job is the re-animation of the dead as well as the hunting and executing of supernatural creatures (mostly vampires) that have broken the law.
Vampire Academy – Richelle Mead
This series of 6 books tells the story of Rosemarie “Rose” Hathaway, a seventeen/eighteen-year-old Dhampir girl, who is training to be a guardian of her Moroi best friend, Vasilisa “Lissa” Dragomir and finds herself caught in a forbidden romance with her instructor, Dimitri Belikov.
