Besides a deep love for books, none of us Reading Addicts are exactly alike. We all have our preferences and idiosyncrasies that make us who we are.

Some of us think the bath tub is the perfect place for a good read, others have a special chair where they feel at their most comfortable. I personally love a steaming hot cup of tea with my book, but others may prefer a long, cool glass of something fizzy…

One of you might love to join every book club you live near, while to others such a gathering sounds like Hell on Earth. Many of you have a TBR (to be read) pile taller than your ‘have read’ pile, however each of us handles that particular problem differently: through evasion, or to see it as a challenge!

David Walliams has broken quite a few records this year, and is celebrating quite the year in writing and has now become only the second ever author (the other being Jamie Oliver) to top the Christmas Book Charts in the UK for the second Christmas running.

That’s right, Bad Dad by David Walliams takes the top spot in the book charts for Christmas week, beating Jamie Oliver’s 5 Ingredients to take the top spot. TSA Considers Banning Books from Carry-On Luggage

First they came for your laptops, and no one spoke out and now they’re coming for the printed word as the TSA considers banning books and all printed materials from carry on luggage on flights. This would mean travellers would be forced to hand over their paperbacks at the start of each journey.

The laptop rule has been in a while now, forcing travellers to put their laptops into bins as they go through security, to be picked up at the other end. Now as an extra security measure, the TSA is trialling the removal of all paper literature, including books in the same way. Read More
