The Lion, the Hare, and the Hyena Read by Alan Rickman

By February 9, 2017Video

Pretty much anything read by Alan Rickman is beautiful to listen to, (just have a listen to him reading about pigs) but this tale of an injured lion, a caring and very clever hare and a sly hyena with a desire to steal the lion’s food which was one of Nelson Mandela’s favourite folk tales is well worth listening to.

I love how through anthropomorphise’d folk stories the evolution of animals is explained and Alan’s voice is perfect for the narrative. I really enjoyed this.
