The Top Ten Most Misunderstood Lines in Literary History

By February 15, 2017November 5th, 2017Video

This is a really interesting list of quotes that are used a lot, seriously these quotes are flung about willy-nilly with nary a thought as to what the author may have been trying to say to us.

As I watched this video for the first time I found myself nodding and admitting to myself that I had misinterpreted a few of the selections in this list, especially the Lewis Carroll examples. I suppose these misunderstood lines are the literary equivalents of misheard lyrics, although I found these much more interesting and I did know a couple of them.

Honestly I did.
