10 Marvellous Mitch Albom Quotes

By May 23, 2016May 22nd, 2018Authors

Here at For Reading Addicts we often see a particular author who appears over and over again either in our polls, chats, enquiries, regular reviews and general excitement when a new release is announced. Mitch Albom is one of those authors and his book Tuesdays With Morrie pops up regularly in polls and discussions.

Born on May 23rd in Passaic, New Jersey Mitch began his literary career as a journalist and sports columnist for the Detroit Free Press in the late eighties and his breakthrough came in 1995 with Tuesdays With Morrie which came about through Albom’s desire to pay the medical bills of his terminally ill friend Morrie Schwartz a dream he saw fulfilled just prior to his friend’s death.

In this article we at For Reading Addicts have collected together 10 Mitch Albom Quotes that we think are absolutely marvellous for you to enjoy.

“Death ends a life, not a relationship.”

“All endings are also beginnings. We just don’t know it at the time.”

“When someone is in your heart, they’re never truly gone. They can come back to you, even at unlikely times.”

“Holding anger is a poison…It eats you from inside…We think that by hating someone we hurt them…But hatred is a curved blade…and the harm we do to others…we also do to ourselves”

“Accept who you are; and revel in it.”

“Nothing haunts us like the things we don’t say.”

“Each affects the other, and the other affects the next, and the world is full of stories, but the stories are all one.”

“Heaven can be found in the most unlikely corners.”

“We all yearn for what we have lost. But sometimes, we forget what we have.”

“The secret to happiness…be satisfied and be grateful.”

Such lovely quotes, it is no wonder that Mitch appears on so many of our polls and I think I am going to have to add a couple of his books to my TBR list.
