Fears Grow for Missing Children’s Author Helen Bailey

By April 18, 2016May 20th, 2016Authors

Fears are growing for missing children’s author Helen Bailey who has not been seen since taking her dog for a walk near to her home in Royston, Hertfordshire in early April.

The last verified sighting of Helen was at around 2:45pm on Monday 11th April as she was walking her pet miniature dachshund and fears are growing for her safety. Helen is the author of the series of teenage novels The Crazy World of Electra Brown, and also has a blog Planet Grief where she talks about the tragedy that made her a widow in 2011.

Helen and her husband were on holiday in Barbados when he was caught up in a riptide and sadly drowned, her blog is the story of her shock arrival into widowhood and her journey towards acceptance and survival, the blog was later made into a book.

She now lives with her partner of 3 years and his two children, life to all intents and purposes is good and there seems to be no reason as to why she would have disappeared under her volition which is of course a great cause of concern.

Hertfordshire police have said that Helen has links to  Kent, London and her home village of Ponteland, Northumberland but no one has seen or been contacted by her since Monday the 11th April.

She is described as being slender with long black hair, aged 51 and last seen with a miniature Dachshund.

If anyone has any information they are asked to call the non emergency police line on 101.
