Little Quotes from Louisa May Alcott

By March 5, 2016November 29th, 2017Authors, Quotations

Louisa May Alcott is an author that most women and many men read during their childhood either through school or because Little Women was gifted to them as being appropriate literature. Whatever the reason, those Little Women were often a pleasant addition to our reading lists and Louisa’s books are fondly remembered and often re read long into adulthood.

Those chapters were filled with wonderful quotes and we have collected together just a few of them for you to enjoy.

“She is too fond of books, and it has turned her brain.”

“I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship.”

“The power of finding beauty in the humblest things makes home happy and life lovely.”

“I want to do something splendid…
Something heroic or wonderful that won’t be forgotten after I’m dead… I think I shall write books.”

“Love is a great beautifier.”

“Don’t try to make me grow up before my time…”

“I like good strong words that mean something…”

No matter whether we are thirteen or ninety three, Louisa May Alcott’s writing always feels like coming home.
