Queer Power: Icons, Activists and Game Changers from across the Rainbow is a stunning book created by illustrator Dom&Ink who many people may know from his artwork shared online including work with RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, illustrating the drag queens featured on the show.
The book features a collection of profiles which educate the reader about a variety of LGBTQIA+ figures from actors, TV personalities, music artist, writers, drag artists, athletes, and people from the fashion industry to activists, campaigners and even spotlighting some key allies to the LGBTQIA+ community. Some of these people may be instantly recognisable to the reader due to their fame or prominence whilst others are lesser-known but equally as vital to the fight for LGBT+ rights.
Each person’s profile is accompanied by a resonating and powerful quote from the person, plus Dom&Ink’s beautiful, colourful and bright illustrations which make this a truly gorgeous book to own and flick through at any given time.
What’s more, Queer Power also includes information on supporting the trans community, tips on coming out, and for readers who aren’t in the LGBTQIA+ community but are allies, Dom also offer ideas on how to be a great ally.
