A Bus Will Take You There is one of my favourite books of all time, but I’ve never really been able to share it with you because it was only published for a select few people.

Johnny Bock has owned the same VW Bus for almost his entire adult life, and he and it have been through some adventures. Here he puts some of these stories together in what is a really well written tale. Not only is Bock a natural raconteur but he’s quite the philosopher. Whenever anyone asks me what the book is about I say it’s the working man’s ‘Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance’ and I suspect anyone who’s read both will agree.
