“A wonderful book if rather grisly at times. Michael Morpurgo is an excellent story teller.”

Beowulf was a mighty hero who went on a quest to save Hereot {from gruesome villains} when he accidently found his match.

I adore this book because it is a very adventurous, scary book .It includes action, some violence and is historical. I think boys would love to read this book, because of its different features {like the sadness, the revenge …}

My favourite characters were Grendel and the Sea-Hag. Grendel because he is a very dark and vicious character and the Sea-Hag is a revenge seeker and is monstrous.

When I read this book I felt darkness and revenge. I felt like I was experiencing it all with them. The minute I read some of part 1 in the book I really wanted to read on but I couldn’t. I read it and even though it was fictional, it made me think about how hard it must be to write some books. Wouldn’t you be sad if one of your best friends died?

Some of the old English words were a bit hard to read but I managed to get through the book. Beowulf is an entertaining book. I recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure, violence and action. It has evil, a set of monsters and a great journey. I think age 10+ would love this book. I adored reading Beowulf.

This book is a bit scary. It has adventure and mystery and I love this book. I rate this book five stars. I was eager to read more and more every lesson.

Beowulf is just a normal warrior who is strong and likes to help the king Hrothgar and his people – who were being terrorised by a horrible monster called Grendel and his gruesome mother. Beowulf knows he is putting his life in danger but is still willing to do what he has to do to save the people.

I liked this book, the story contains friendship, adventure and people that care, although some of it didn’t really catch my attention.

My favourite character is king Hrothgar because he was kind to Beowulf and gives him gold and he was a good friend to Beowulf.

When I was reading this book I felt different every minute. I felt happy, then the next minuet I felt sad. When Beowulf had to face the monsters, I felt like he was definitely going to die this time

Some off the illustrations are still running around in my head. I would recommend this to boys age 10+. I loved Beowulf it’s a great book you would definitely like it!
