I was thrilled to receive the first fully illustrated Harry Potter book for Christmas and I have to say that Jim Kay has done a sensational job of the Philosopher’s Stone. It was said there would be a release a year until the whole series was completely illustrated and now it’s been revealed on Pottermore that the fully illustrated Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets will be released on October 4th 2016!
And, not only do we have a release date, but we also have a cover reveal and a sneak peek at some of the pages of the newest book. We can confirm that it’s absolutely amazing, and we can’t wait to see the rest of it!
As we know, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the first book to introduce us to some interesting creatures. It’s where we learn about Mandrakes, and serpents, and will finally meet Aragog and Fawkes the Phoenix, something we cannot wait to see fully illustrated!
The new cover looks amazing, but not too different to the original so it’s recognisable with the blue Ford Anglia and The Burrow in the background, and below you’ll find the extra three released images from the book, featuring Hagrid, Fawkes, and the Mandrakes that are so important to the story.
