For Reading Addicts Reading Challenge 2021 – April

It’s definitely starting to feel Spring-like here in the UK so it must be April, we hope you are enjoying this year’s challenge and are managing to read lots of books, maybe some that are outside your usual comfort zone.

Just a reminder of this year’s challenge, we wanted to stick to the inclusive style of the 2020 challenge but have different categories. We’re still going to have the three options, Easy, Hard and Super Reader but this year’s monthly category will be “Read Around the World”. Hopefully, this will mean that everyone can join in, whether you read one book a month or three or more!

April’s categories are:-

EASY – ALPHABETICAL CHALLENGE

Read a book with a title that begins with a D or P

I’m not going to list recommendations this year as obviously, the number of books fitting these categories are endless.

HARD – MONTHLY CATEGORY CHALLENGE

Read a book set in or by an author from North America (when making a choice keep in mind that later in the year we will be featuring Central and South America).

Here are a few suggestions:

Indian Horse – Richard Wagamese

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn – Betty Smith

Suggested authors from North America included Margaret Atwood, John Steinbeck, Kristen Hannah, Stephen King, Jodi Picoult, Harlan Coben, Michael Connelly, Jonathan Safran Foer, Truman Capote, Alice Munroe, Yann Martel this list is endless too!

SUPER READER – READ HARDER CHALLENGE

Read a book with a title beginning with D or P (or both) and read a book set in or by an author from North America.

As usual pick a book from our list, pop along to your local book shop or library, order something online or pick up something that’s already in your TBR pile.
Don’t forget to share what you are reading in our Cwts Club Discussion Group.
