World Book Day Infographic – With a Twist

I received an email this week from Lilli at Office Genie who has created a World Book Day infographic with a big twist. We deal in books, but Office Genie deal in careers, put these things together and what you have is the careers of literary characters, some of whom your children may be dressing up as today!

Office Genie has taken the characters of sixteen of the nation’s most loved novels and worked out what those characters might be earning in modern Britain. Albus Dumbledore, for example, takes home a tidy sum as a headteacher and Tess of the D’Urbervilles wouldn’t be quite so poverty stricken as a farmhand in the countryside of today!

Thanks to Office Genie for this fascinating insight into the characters we love. I often find myself reading books and watching television programmes and wondering how the characters can afford the lifestyles they live so this is right up my street!
