New Famous Five Parody Books Coming

By February 4, 2017New Releases, News

Parody books have dominated the book market for a while now with the Ladybird Books for Grown ups starting the trend back in 2015. Last year a series of parody Famous Five Books was released and now it’s been announced that there are new titles coming this year.

The new titles Five Forget Mother’s Day, Five Lose Dad in the Garden Centre and Five get Beach Ready will be released later this year and will join the current series that were released last year.

The books follow the traditional characters and are written in Blyton’s style by well known parody author Bruno Vincent.

The first book to be released of the new trio is Five Forget Mother’s Day and that will be out in hardback on 23rd February, priced £7.99. Then on 18th May Five Lose Dad in the Garden Centre will be released in time for Fathers’ Day with Five Get Beach Body Ready out on 1st June.

The series has proven so popular that publisher Quercus has now printed over 1.6 million copies. Five on a Brexit Island alone sold almost 400,000 copies at the end of last year, and the new books in the series look like they are likely to be just as popular.

The artwork is still to be finalised on the new three books to the series, but they are expected out in due course. Look out at your local bookshop, or on Amazon where pre-orders for the new series will surely open soon.
