One reason why you should never disturb a reading woman

By March 9, 2020New Releases, News, Video

“A woman is quietly reading her book in a cafe when a man, who can’t take a hint, decides he wants to get to know her better.”

We all know the feeling of discomfort, annoyance, and eye-rolling exasperation when our reading time is disturbed by some dull person with questions and mild flirtation. The novel in hand should be a sign of a private moment, a quiet time for oneself but unfortunately some take an open book as an invitation to come and chat.

We spied this video on Facebook and just had to share it with our Reading Addicts. If you enjoyed this then go and give Tom a Follow or Like on social media, and discover his debut collection below.

The video for Siren was written and performed by Tom Denbigh. The short film was directed by Hannah Silver of Background Noise Productions and stars Annette Chown and Andrew Kelly.

Siren is a poem taken from Tom Denbigh’s debut collection “…and then she ate him” – out now with Burning Eye Books.
