Stephen Fry Announces ‘Heroes,’ a Follow up to Last Year’s ‘Mythos’

By September 13, 2018New Releases

Last year, Stephen Fry published Mythos: A Retelling of the Myths of Ancient Greece, which brought to life the vast pantheon of Greek Gods, monsters, and Titans. The book was well received by critics and served as an excellent way for modern audiences to discover the timeless tales of victory and failure that make up Greek mythology.

Fry has now announced that a follow up book is set to be released later this year called Heroes. The first book focused on the Gods of Mount Olympus, whereas Heroes will follow the likes of Jason and the Argonauts as they hunt for the Golden Fleece, Atalanta being raised by bears, and how Oedipusis able to solve the riddle of the Sphinx.

The book is being published by Penguin and the book’s page reads: “Filled with white-knuckle chases and battles, impossible puzzles and riddles, acts of base cowardice and real bravery, not to mention murders and selfless sacrifices, Heroes is the story of what we mortals are truly capable of – at our worst and our very best.”

Heroes is set to be released on November 1 and will be available in hardback, E-reader, and via an audiobook.
