The moon landings may have been the finest moment in human history, and now you can see every last detail in a stunning new book set to be published by Particular Books, under Penguin Random House, which will feature “extraordinary” restored images taken from the NASA archives by photographer and image restorer Andy Saunders. The book will give readers the ultimate insight into the space missions that saw humanity reach the stars.
Called Apollo Remastered, this book will be the most detailed way to view NASA’s archive of photos without having been there yourself.

As The Bookseller reports, Saunders is one of the world’s foremost experts of NASA digital restoration, Saunders’ work has been featured on the likes of the BBC, Smithsonian’s Air & Space Magazine, as well as NASA’s archives.
“It’s a privilege to be able to work on such incredible photographs from a defining era,” said Saunders. “We typically see low quality transfers of this analogue film, many generations from the original. In going back to the original flight film from the cameras, and applying the latest digital processing techniques, and time and effort, we can now bring out detail as never before. I can’t think of any film in existence that is more deserving of this level of care and effort.”
