Jamie Lynn Spears to Release ‘Tell-All’ Book

Jamie Lynn Spears, younger sister to pop star Britney Spears, is releasing a tell-all book next year.

The book titled Things I Should Have Said is planned for release in January 2022.

The young woman faced her own troubles after her daughter was in a near-fatal car accident in 2017 and since then she has felt the need to share her own story.

“There was a lot of personal work and healing that had to happen before I could share my truth the proper way,” Jamie Lynn explained on Instagram.

“I’ve spent my whole life believing that I had to pretend to be perfect, even when I wasn’t, so for the first time I am opening up about my own mental health, because this process challenged me to have to be painfully honest with myself, and face a lot of hard things, that I normally would have just glossed right over, like I was taught to,” she continued.

“I owe it to myself, my younger self, and to my daughters to be an example that you should never edit yourself or your truth to please anyone else.”

Jamie Lynn hopes her book will help “anyone else out there who forgot their worth, lost their voice, or is trying to break an unhealthy cycle in their life.”

“I want you all to know, YOU matter, YOUR story matters, YOU are enough, and don’t ever let this world try to convince you otherwise,” Jamie Lynn concluded.

Some of the book proceeds will also be going to the mental health non-profit, This Is My Brave.

News of the tell-all memoir comes as her sister Britney has been in the spotlight with much talk and drama surrounding her conservatorship battle.

Although Jamie Lynn has been vocal in support of her sister she has also tried to previously distance herself from the drama surrounding it, claiming she was never a part of the conservatorship. She also pressed that she never once profited from her sister’s money.

The book Things I Should’ve Said: Family, Fame, and Figuring It Out is released January 18th 2022.
