Meghan Markle writes children’s book inspired by Harry and Archie

Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, is due to publish a children’s book inspired by her husband Harry and their son Archie.

The Bench is looking at father-son relationships reflected through the eyes of a mother.

Speaking in a statement, Meghan says: “The Bench started as a poem I wrote for my husband on Father’s Day, the month after Archie was born.”

“That poem became this story.”

She added: “My hope is that The Bench resonates with every family, no matter the make-up, as much as it does with mine.”

The duchess’s children’s book will be published on the 8th of June.

The story is illustrated by award-winning artist Christian Robinson, and the duchess will be recording the audio book version.

Penguin Random House publishers, explained that the book brings “a deep sense of warmth, connection, and compassion”.

Adding: “It gives readers a window into shared and enduring moments between a diverse group of fathers and sons – moments of peace and reflection, trust and belief, discovery and learning, and lasting comfort.”
