Muslim book reviewers give us their recommendations

Muslim authors and muslim book characters were once few and far between, but no longer, it seems! Representation is at last balancing out and more marginalised folk are seeing positive representation in film, TV, and books.

Thanks to Books Are My Social Life on YouTube, a group of Muslim book lovers have offered their favourite novels by Muslim authors, concerning Muslim characters. The video (below) was created to shine a spotlight on readers, authors, and characters who practice Islam. The reviewers obvious joy in reading about characters they can relate to and who wouldn’t be out of place in their community, is something pretty special.
