Political parody of children’s book causes outrage

A political parody of a children’s book is receiving bad reviews and threats to boycott any establishment that sells it.

The book, If You Give a Pig the White House: A Parody was published on 1st of Oct and hardcopies are sold in the US at Barnes & Noble, Amazon and Walmart for around $15.75.

The controversial book is a parody of the beloved children’s book If You Give a Pig a Pancake.

Here is the overview:

“A coiffed and blustery pig has shoved his way into the White House! A cleverly worded and illustrated picture book, this is the adult parody of the beloved children’s cautionary tale, If You Give a Pig a Pancake.

Watch in dismay as the presidential pig gets into trouble, binges on too much Fox News and fast food, and cavalierly threatens national security. A few disgruntled Trump supporters have taken to Twitter to complain about the parody book, with a few even saying they will boycott any company that stocks it. As big name stores, including Amazon online, will hold the book it doesn’t seem practical to boycott every store but it is always good to make your feelings known.

There is not much point in adding the complaints here, they are all much of the same theme: “I am disgusted, this should be banned! #MAGA” etc.

The funniest response to the naysayers was Stephanie who believed they should reflect on their own “F*** your feelings”, “Snowflakes are offended by everything!” rhetoric.
