King Lear as you have never seen it before!
A comedian has edited Shakespeare’s King Lear down to a manageable one minute long video.
Award-winning comedian Alasdair Beckett-King begins his gentle Twitter rant by complaining that the play is far too long and needs editing immediately.
Beckett-King explains how he cut the play down to only a minute by selecting 115 frequently used words in order of the frequency of their appearance in the original play.
The result is a surprisingly clear and concise Shakespearean soliloquy read by a man who is basically the ginger love-child of Jesus Christ and Kenny Everett.

Are there any other plays or books deserving of this treatment? Perhaps Marienbad My Love by Mark Leach… It is supposedly the world’s longest published novel in English- coming in at 2.5 million words!
