Artsnight – Connecting the Conscious and Subconscious in Literature

By August 5, 2016Video

If you live in the UK, or you have access to BBC2, or BBC iPlayer then make a date with Artsnight, tonight August 5th at 11pm (BST). The closest thing to a dedicated programme for literature that is currently airing on the BBC (Come on Aunty Beeb, sort yourself out!) tonight’s episode has author Meg Rosoff discussing why certain books, among other things resonate with us so much more deeply than others.

Rosoff claims that the trick is being able to tap into the subconscious and in this episode meets with other authors and artists including acclaimed author Eimear McBride to discuss her theory of why we love some books so much more than other, equally worthy titles.
