Ever fancied being a librarian? I’m told it’s not just sitting around and reading all day, and it’s certainly a vocation. If you’re a book lover and you’ve ever considered becoming a librarian then chances are you’ll need to be pretty IT proficient in today’s modern world but it wasn’t always like this.
Today I stumbled across this librarian vocational guidance film from the 1940s and it shows the work of different library personnel. It’s designed as an educational tool for future librarians, and although it may not be a great help to librarians today, it does offer a fascinating insight into the past.
