Word of the Day – Rudesby

By August 8, 2016Word of the Day

Rudesby (noun)

rood-z-bee

A rude, ill-mannered, or badly behaved person.

A word first used in the mid fifteen hundreds and simply an extension of the word rude, first coined by CofE Clergyman Thomas Drant, rudesby sounds like the kind of slur a grandma would use.

Example sentences

“He’s such a rudesby, I don’t think I’ve ever heard a please or thank you from him.”

“Hold the door open and stop being such a rudesby.”
