Word of the Day – Perfidious

By October 20, 2015Word of the Day

Perfidious (adj)

pur-fid-ee-us

Deceitful  and untrustworthy

I love this word, it sounds like its definition, I couldn’t imagine it meaning anything pleasant.

Example sentences

“His ambition was boundless and no means, however perfidious, were despised by him.”

“The rebellion was at last put down by a series of treacheries and perfidious negotiations.”
