By January 15, 2016Word of the Day

Whiffle (v)

Make a soft sound, like that of breathing or a gentle wind.

A scrumptiously onomatopoeic word, try and say whiffle without whiffling.

Example sentences

“He’s a mouth breather and whiffles all of the time; it drives me scatty!”

“It may only be a whiffle but it sounds like a tornado at 2am in the morning.”
