If Marvel is your thing, if S.H.I.E.L.D. is your bae then this series is for you. And, if mystery, intrigue, superheros and kick ass female characters is your thing, this series is also for you.”

NO MAJOR SPOILERS

This is a sequel to Black Widow: Forever Red. I read this book right after I’ve finished the first book. The story begins when Natasha Romanoff and Ava Orlova spent their vacation in Rio. While Ava was busy taking selfies, a women in green dress intentionally walked towards Romanoff and hit her by the shoulder.

Strange things occurred when the unknown lady started talking gibberish about angel and stuff. Natasha immediately ran to get Ava and flee the area. Things getting more ugly when an unknown hacker was able to bypass Stark’s security system and hacked Natasha’s personal account. The hacker known only as UNSUB (Unknown Subject), claiming to be one of Ivan Somodorov’s thugs, are coming to take revenge over Avengers Initiative, S.H.I.E.L.D and the United States government, by bombing the city.

What’s interesting in this story is Ava’s progress as a character. She’s now A Red Widow, top student in the academy. Ava tried to prove her self worth to Romanoff that she wasn’t a kid anymore and that she can take care of her self. She’s been hallucinating, talking to someone who doesn’t exist, as the last time they cost her, taking someone she loved the most.

I am very happy with the ending, where everyone worked together to find the culprit behind this madness. Thrilling, risky, action packed and a lot of shootings going on. Easy 5/5 stars. Highly Recommended.
